Falemalama (House of Lights) is the fifth play by acclaimed playwright Dianna
Fuemana. Drawing on her mother's story, Falemalama is a personal journey to Aotearoa
from across the South Pacific Ocean told through music, dance and oral traditions.
Falemalama is an exploration of the migrant Samoan woman's journey of spirituality,
womanhood and motherhood. This play premiered in Minneapolis and was presented
and televised live at the 10th South Pacific Arts Festival in Pago Pago, American
Samoa, July 2008.
